Feb 5, 2022 · A pioneer of her sport, Jamie Anderson holds the distinction of being the first-ever women’s Olympic slopestyle gold medallist from Sochi 2014. The free-spirited Anderson is a self-confessed tree-hugger that attributes much of her success to the Zen-like focus she gains through yoga.
When I was 15 years old i won my first professional slope-style event, and signed my first contract with Billabong (who is still my main sponsor). That year I also qualified for X-Games Slope-style, and won a bronze medal. I am currently the youngest Winter X-Games athlete to have won a medal.
Jamie Anderson won the inaugural snowboard slopestyle event at Sochi 2014 and then, four years later at PyeongChang 2018, retained the title to remain the only female Olympic champion in her discipline, and the first woman ever to win two gold medals in snowboarding.
