Mar 25, 2020 · It is with great sadness that we announce that Jimmy Henley passed away on Sunday, March 22. Most knew him as a gifted entertainer with a signature talent on the banjo, who had an amazing career with the Roy Clark organization for over 26 years, first on Hee Haw and then on major television shows and stages all over the world.
Jimmy Henley. Banjo virtuoso. Born September 2, 1963, in Hobbs, New Mexico. Died March 22, 2020 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma of throat cancer. Jimmy's rise to stardom began shortly after winning the World Bluegrass Banjo Championship at age ten and getting the attention of country music legend and entertainer Roy Clark.
