May 3, 2024 · Johann Joseph Wenzel Graf Radetzky von Radetz (1766-1858) was an Austrian field marshal who could still earn victories at an advanced age. He was 82 when he defeated a revolt near Custoza in the Italian Region Veneto (a region which was controlled by Austria in those years), and won another battle the year after near Novara (Piedmont, Italy).

Celým jménem se jmenoval Josef Wenzel Radetzky von Radetz, narodil se v roce 1766 v Sedlčanech a zemřel v roce 1858 v Miláně. Jeho pomník byl odhalen ještě téhož roku, odstraněn byl po vzniku republiky v roce 1919.
