On the 10th February 1616 Shakespeare’s younger daughter Judith married a local man, Thomas Quiney. At the start of 1616 her impending marriage must have been the cause of celebration in the family.
Judith Quiney, Anne and William Shakespeare's younger daughter, was buried on February 9, 1662, according to the Holy Trinity Church parish register. Next to the entry, an “X” added by a later hand highlights its significance.

Judith Shakespeare. Judith was William Shakespeare ’s second daughter and Hamnet ’s twin sister. She was named after Judith Sadler, a friend of the Shakespeare family. At age 31, Judith married Thomas Quiney, the 26 year old son of a prominent local family. The pair were married in Lent of 1616.
On December 4, 1611, by the deed shown here, the wealthy widow, Elizabeth Quiney, and her eldest son, Adrian Quiney, sold a sizeable house in Wood Street, Stratford-upon-Avon, to William Mountford. The deed has three tags with seals attached (shown here in the first image).
