At the most basic level, a kaleidoscope is made of two or more mirrors or reflective surfaces positioned at an angle to each other, usually forming a V-shape or a triangle. But what exactly is a kaleidoscope? They look a little bit like small telescopes you can hold in your hands. One end has a hole you can look into. The other end has translucent paper or other material that lets light in. Inside the kaleidoscope, a number of mirrors are arranged in a circle.
