Karl Malden was an American actor who had a long and successful career in film, television, and theater. He was best known for his roles in the films A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), On the Waterfront (1954), and One-Eyed Jacks (1961). He also starred in the television series The Streets of San Francisco (1972–1977).
