  3. Biography. Dr. Karl Ritter von Halt was an officer in World War I on the West and Alpine front, and in 1917 was knighted with the Military-Max-Joseph-Order. He received his doctorate in economics after the war and managed a role in the private Jewish banking institute “Aufhäuser” in München.
