You can visit the gardens, meadows, shop and tearoom either before or after your timed ticket entry into the manor house. The estate opens at 10.30am and closes at 5pm. The manor house opens at 11am with last admission at 4pm.

Jan 11, 2024 · Kelmscott Manor is a grade 1 Listed Tudor farmhouse adjacent to the River Thames. Kelmscott Manor was built in 1570, with an additional wing added to the northeast corner in about 1665. The Manor is built of local limestone on the edge of the village of Kelmscott. William Morris chose it as his summer home in 1871.
Kelmscott Manor was the inspirational country home of William Morris; poet, designer, socialist and father of the Arts and Crafts movement. This Grade I listed house was loved by Morris for its traditional craftsmanship in harmony with the surrounding landscape, inspiring many of his most important designs and writings.
