Sep 15, 2021 · Kenji Yasuda is an MIT postdoc who works on the creation of a new ultrathin material with ferroelectricity, a property that could give it important applications in computer memory and more. The material, known as boron nitride, is a cousin of graphene and has an atomic structure similar to it. The team reports the finding in Science and explains the mechanism behind it.
