Kimiyasu Kudoh had one of the most successful careers by a pitcher in Nippon Pro Baseball. He was especially notable for his durability in a country where pitcher arm abuse is common. Kudoh struck out 21 in a 12-inning game in the Koshien Tournament in 1981.
