Korçë County (Albanian: Qarku Korçë), officially the County of Korçë (Albanian: Qarku i Korçës), is a county in the Southern Region of the Republic of Albania. It is the largest by area and the seventh most populous of the twelve counties, with more than 202,000 people within an area of 3,711 km 2 (1,433 sq mi).
The municipality of Korçë is encompassed in the County of Korçë within the Southern Region of Albania and consists of the adjacent administrative units of Drenovë, Lekas, Mollaj, Qendër Bulgarec, Vithkuq, Voskop, Voskopojë and Korçë as its seat.
- Step inside the Resurrection of Christ Cathedral, Albania’s largest Orthodox church. The Resurrection of Christ Cathedral sits proudly in the heart of the city and is Korca’s defining landmark.
- Walk down St. George Boulevard (locals’ favourite thing to do in Korca) Step out the doors of the cathedral, cross the street, and you’ll find yourself on St. George Boulevard (Shen Gjergj), Korca’s main pedestrian drag.
- Climb the Panoramic Tower for a view. When you reach the top of St. George Boulevard you’ll see a rather odd modern building near the tourist information office.
- Visit the Gjon Mili Photography Museum. As you twist and turn your way up the stairwells of the Panoramic Tower, you’ll notice art posters have been added to jazz up some of the concrete walls.

Korçë, city, southeastern Albania. It began as a feudal estate in the 13th century, and in 1484 the local lord, Koja Mirahor İlyas Bey, a Muslim convert active in the Ottoman siege of Constantinople (1453; now Istanbul), returned to the site and built the mosque that bears his name.
