A beautiful and stylish Italian mystery thriller, shot in black and white and directed by Luigi Bazonni, who also made The Fifth Chord and Footprints (a movie that I adore and more people need to see.) Indeed, The Possessed shares many elements as the later Footprints. This movie is often considered one of the earliest examples of a giallo.
