    She was born on 08 Nov 1852 in Piccadilly, London, Middlesex, England and her parents were Henrietta Blanche (Stanley) and David Graham Drummond Ogilvy. (Henrietta) Blanche Ogilvy married on 28 Sep 1873 in Cortachy Castle, Angusshire, Scotland to Henry Montague Hozier. While still married, she had a liaison with Capt. William George "Bay" Middleton, a noted horseman. Their daughter, Lady Clementine Hozier, went on to marry Sir Winston Spencer Churchill. The liaison was later confirmed by Lady Blanche's granddaughter Mary Soames, from a letter made public in August 2002. On the other hand, Clementine's biographer, Joan Hardwick, has surmised (due in part to Sir Henry Hozier's reputed sterility) that all Lady Blanche's "Hozier" children were actually fathered by her sister's husband, Algernon Bertram Freeman-Mitford(1837– 1916), better known as a grandfather of the famous Mitford sisters of the 1920s.
