Boating & Kayaking: Lake Wallenpaupack is huge! The 5,700 acre lake, 13 miles long and 52 miles of shoreline. The PA Fish & Boat Commission states that the lake has no horsepower restrictions but boaters are restricted to 45 mph on weekends and holidays. Sunset to sunrise, a 25 mph speed limit is enforced.
Stunning Lake Wallenpaupack sits at the center of the Lake Region of the Poconos. Built in 1927, this man-made reservoir covers 5,700 acres, stretching 13 ½ miles long with 52 miles of shoreline. The "Big Lake" offers ample opportunities for boating, fishing, paddleboarding and swimming, but it isn't the only body of water in the region.
