Lake Waco & Corps of Engineers Parks. Waco Lake is operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. It has 79,000 acre-feet of water and offers fishing, camping, day-use recreation areas, boating, swimming, hike and bike trails, horseback riding trails, and hunting.
Public Access Facilities. Lake Waco has ten public boat ramps. Most ramps charge a $4 launch fee. A $30 annual day use/boat ramp permit is available. Lakeside parks contain many excellent campsites with water and electric, and some with sewage hookups.
