Lamont Herbert Dozier (/ l ə ˈ m ɒ n t ˈ d oʊ ʒ ər /; June 16, 1941 – August 8, 2022) was an American singer, songwriter, and record producer from Detroit, Michigan. He co-wrote and produced 14 US Billboard number-one hits and four number ones in the UK.
