Larry Hennig (June 18, 1936 – December 6, 2018) was an American professional wrestler. He was the father of "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig, and the grandfather of Curtis Axel and Amy "Ms. Perfect" Hennig. He worked in the American Wrestling Association, National Wrestling Alliance, and the World Wide Wrestling Federation.

He was a five-time tag team champion in the AWA and a former rival of Bruno Sammartino. To most fans, Hennig was known for his stint with the American Wrestling Association (AWA) promotion, initially as a villain while teaming with Harley Race to feud against names such as Verne Gagne, Bill Watts, The Crusher, Dick the Bruiser, and Rene Goulet.
First known as Pretty Boy Hennig, he later took on a new persona and became Larry "The Axe" Hennig. He teamed with Harley Race (Class of 2005) to become world tag team champions on several occasions and was a singles star, as well. He and his son, Curt Hennig, won the NWA tag-team title in 1982.
