Lathan Ransom (born July 16, 2002) is an American football safety for the Ohio State Buckeyes . Early life and high school career. Ransom attended Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona. Lathan Ransom is a physical safety who played a ton of snaps over his four years at Ohio State and is a run defender first with cover ability from deep. He has the versatility to play at all three levels of the defense, but his movement deficiencies will relegate him to mostly a run defender in the NFL.
