A Paris police officer commits suicide after becoming the target of an internal investigation, and Det. Gérard Delvaux (Alain Chabat) takes stewardship of the man's informant, or "cousin," Nounours (Patrick Timsit). Gérard is determined to make a dent in the Paris drug trade, and, as he works with Nounours, he develops a grudging respect for the drug dealer.
