    • October Rust. After a prank opener and a jovial message of thanks from the band, this autumnal epic represents the culmination of Type O’s progress from ugly ducklings to ugly swans, honing their dreamy alt-pop sensibilities while nailing some of their most affecting doom atmospheres in Red Water, Wolf Moon and Haunted.
    • Bloody Kisses. The digipak edition dropped the quirky interludes and flippantly provocative thrash-punk numbers like Kill All The White People and We Hate Everyone, and added the sumptuous funereal monolith Suspended In Dusk, to make Bloody Kisses a far more committed, elegant gothic doom masterwork.
    • Slow, Deep And Hard. The startling, visceral debut made a distinctive impact on various underground scenes in 1991, the band loved and loathed in equal measure for their mischievous obtuseness.
    • World Coming Down. Although dominated by bitter melancholy and bleak, strung-out gloom, World Coming Down manages to advance the songcraft with the irresistible melodic beauty of Everyone I Love Is Dead and Everything Dies, plus the Into-The-Void-and-beyond riffing of Pyretta Blaze and a sludgy Beatles medley.

    • Dead Again. Over the course of their career, Peter Steele made so many allusions to his own premature demise it’s redundant to cite the irony of his eventual fate, but the opening title-track of their final album is something of a doozy.
    • Black No.1. Perhaps Type O’s signature song, Black No.1 – the title a reference to the shade of hair dye best loved by the gothic legions – is perhaps their only one improved by being hacked down to a more digestible size.
    • Summer Breeze. There are many great covers in the band’s arsenal – their deconstructed take on Sabbath’s Paranoid a strong contender for this list – but perhaps none received the full on Type O treatment more entertainingly than Bloody Kisses’ Summer Breeze.
    • I Don’t Wanna Be Me. Probably the finest of all the fast-paced songs in their arsenal, I Don’t Wanna Be Me kicks off 2003 album Life Is Killing Me and is a highly-energised, sarcastic paean to self-hatred, waving a middle finger in their own faces as much as anyone else’s.

is a compilation album by Type O Negative, released on June 21, 2000. The album contains some previously released material alongside a few new tracks and remixes. There are two versions of this album: edited and unedited (with a parental advisory label/logo). The picture on the album cover is of the parachute jump at Coney Island, in Brooklyn, New York.

Consistent with many of the band's previous 'joke tracks', the first track "The Misinterpretation of Silence and Its Disastrous Consequences (Wombs and Tombs mix)", much like the original is completely silent. The only "remix" that occurs here is simply that the track is shorter—39 seconds of silence instead of the original's 64 second silence. Given the title of the album, it is also an example of their self-deprecating humor style, with the logic that silence can actually be considered some of their best work.

  5. As Type O Negative matured, they developed a unique and formulaic approach to song writing. This is expertly demonstrated here beginning with a buzz-saw doom riff (this movement fittingly entitled “Hedgeclipper”) which flows quite liquidly into a glowing Sab-esque riff that will cut straight to the core of any metalhead.
