Jan 26, 2020 · 1. St. Thomas Church. Source: Shutterstock. St. Thomas Church. Between 1723 and 1750 Johann Sebastian Bach was the cantor at this 13th-century Gothic church. It has also been Bach’s burial place since 1950, and you can find his ledger stone on the floor of the choir and see a statue in his honour outside in front.
