Leopold II (Peter Leopold Josef Anton Joachim Pius Gotthard; 5 May 1747 – 1 March 1792) was the 44th Holy Roman Emperor, King of Hungary, Croatia and Bohemia, and Archduke of Austria from 1790 to 1792, and Grand Duke of Tuscany from 1765 to 1790.

Born in Florence on 20 January 1782, Archduke Johann was the son of Peter Leopold, grand duke of Tuscany (later, as Leopold II, Emperor of Austria from 1790–1792) and Maria Ludovica of Spain from the House of Bourbon. He was the thirteenth child to be born to this prolific couple, who would go on to have a total of sixteen children.
