Leopold III (German: Luitpold, 1073 – 15 November 1136), known as Leopold the Good, was the Margrave of Austria from 1095 to his death in 1136. He was a member of the House of Babenberg. He was canonized on 6 January 1485 and became the patron saint of Austria, Lower Austria, Upper Austria and Vienna.

He is the patron saint of Austria, of the city of Vienna, of Lower Austria, and, jointly with Saint Florian, of Upper Austria. His feast day is November 15. Leopold was the son of Margrave Leopold II and Ida of Formbach-Ratelnberg.

LEOPOLD III OF AUSTRIA, ST. Margrave of Austria; b. Gars, Austria, c. 1075; d. Nov. 15, 1136. Leopold was educated by St. altman of passau. Because of his loyalty during the investiture struggle, Pope innocent ii called him "Son of St. Peter." Leopold later changed his allegiance to Emperor henry v and married Henry's daughter Agnes.
Leopold III or Saint Leopold, c.1073–1136, margrave of Austria (1095–1136). By his marriage (1106) with Agnes, widow of Duke Frederick I of Swabia (see Hohenstaufen ), he became the stepfather of German King Conrad III and the father of Otto of Freising and of Duke Henry II of Austria (see Babenberg ).
