The Library of Michigan is the state library of the U.S. state of Michigan, located in the state capital, Lansing. Its purpose is to collect and preserve Michigan publications, conduct reference and research, and support libraries statewide. The Library of Michigan has been a division of the Michigan Department of Education since 2009.

Aug 4, 2023 · All Michigan residents are eligible for Library of Michigan (LM) library cards. Out of state students enrolled in a Michigan college or university are also eligible. Employees of the State of Michigan, please use the Application for State Employees. LM Library Cards may not be used by non-Michigan residents.
