It was designed by Carl Alexander Heideloff and its name means "shining stone" or "bright stone". The castle overlooks the Echaz valley near Honau, Reutlingen in the state of Baden-Württemberg.

  5. This was our first visit to Lichtenstein Castle, and it didn’t disappoint. The castle is an easy hour drive south of Stuttgart. They have paid parking only 150m from the castle. They have guided tours for €9/adult, which includes a historical walk through 4 rooms of the castle.
