Light of the Stable is the first Christmas album by Emmylou Harris. It was originally released in 1979 by Warner Bros. Records but has since gone through several intervening releases. The 1992 Warner release was a remastered version of the original with a different album cover. The latest edition was released in 2004 by Rhino Records.

Again, Emmylou Harris "Light of the Stable" was originally released in late 1980, not 1979. Additional Note: Washington Post article from July 6, 1980 says: ""Light of the Stable" will be released this December (it was available this year as an English import)". So, it looks like the album was released in Euriope in 1979 and in US in 1980.
