Lina M. Khan (born March 3, 1989) is an American legal scholar and current chairperson of the Federal Trade Commission. While a student at Yale Law School, she became known for her work in antitrust and competition law in the United States. She was appointed by President Joe Biden to the Commission in March 2021, and has served since June 2021.

Facebook asks for FTC Chair Lina Khan to be recused from its antitrust case
Facebook filed a petition Wednesday to have Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan recused from the ongoing antitrust lawsuit the agency brought against the company. Facebook argued in its petition that Khan “has consistently made public statements” accusing the company of bad conduct that constitutes a violation of antitrust law.
