Liu Ye (Chinese: 刘烨; pinyin: Líu Yè, born 23 March 1978) is a Chinese actor. He made his feature film debut in Postmen in the Mountains (1999), and later on won recognition through critically acclaimed film Lan Yu (2001), which earned him the Best Actor award at the Golden Horse Awards.
Liu was nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as a young postman in one of his first films, Postmen in the Mountains, at the 1999 Golden Rooster Awards. Shortly after his graduation, Liu won Best Actor at the 38th Golden Horse Awards for his performance as a young homosexual man in Lan Yu.
