Magnus IV (born c. 1115, Norway—died 1139, Norway) was a joint ruler of Norway (1130–35), with Harald IV. His abortive attempt (1137–39) to wrest sovereignty from Inge I Haroldsson and Sigurd II, sons of Harald IV, ended the first epoch in the period of Norwegian civil wars (1130–1240).
Medieval source. The primary source on Christina is that of Icelander Sturla Þórðarson (Sturla was a nephew of Snorri Sturluson and had come to Norway in 1263). Sturla was commissioned by Kristina's brother, Magnus Lagabøte, (King Magnus VI of Norway) to write his father's saga (Saga of Håkon Håkonsson) shortly after King Håkon died in the Orkney Islands on 16 December 1263.
Erik was the son of King Magnus Eriksson (1316–1374) and the grandson of Eric, Duke of Södermanland (c. 1282–1318).
