Main (band) Main were a British band formed in 1991 by guitarists Robert Hampson and Scott Dowson, both formerly of the English rock band Loop. [1] Drawing on that group's experimentation with drones and guitar texture, the duo moved further into ambient sound, eventually abandoning traditional percussion and rhythm altogether. [2]

May 21, 1996 · Main released this originally as a limited edition singles collection. Once a month (during 6 months) Beggars Banquet released a cd5. The last disc (Neper) included a grey collectors box and a booklet. On every single sleeve there is a photo of a stone structure. Good minimal design and good minimal music!
