Minnelli met his fourth wife, Margaretta Lee Anderson, through his third wife who befriended her during the 1960s. After her divorce, Gigante encouraged Anderson to move in with Minnelli. After three failed marriages, Minnelli vowed never to marry again though they continued to be domestic partners.
