Sun, Feb 1, 1959. Bret Maverick is on his way to a high stakes poker game, when an injured friend with a hidden agenda, begs him to visit. After Bret arrives, the friend's beautiful daughter draws Bret into a plot of her own. Both plots revolve around cold-blooded Red Hardigan (a lanky, young Clint Eastwood ).
Overview. Maverick initially starred James Garner as poker player Bret Maverick. Eight episodes into the first season, he was joined by Jack Kelly as his brother Bart Maverick, and for the remainder of the first three seasons, Garner and Kelly alternated leads from week to week, sometimes teaming up for the occasional two-brother episode.
