In Greek mythology, Medea ( / mɪˈdiːə /; Ancient Greek: Μήδεια, romanized : Mḗdeia; meaning "planner", "schemer" [1]) is the daughter of King Aeëtes of Colchis . In the myth of Jason and the Argonauts, she aids Jason in his search for the Golden Fleece. She later marries him, but eventually kills his children and his other bride.
