    Meyer Dolinsky (13 October 1923 – 29 February 1984; age 60) wrote the Star Trek: The Original Series third season episode "Plato's Stepchildren". He also wrote the teleplay for the unproduced episode "The Joy Machine", based on a story by Theodore Sturgeon.

    Among his other television credits are three episodes of the original Outer Limits: "The Architects of Fear" (directed by Byron Haskin and featuring Janos Prohaska), "O.B.I.T." (directed by Gerd Oswald and featuring Jeff Corey, Harry Townes, and Jason Wingreen), and "ZZZZZ" (featuring Marsha Hunt, Booth Colman and the voice of Robert C. Johnson).

    Dolinsky was invited by Gene Roddenberry to pitch stories to Star Trek as early as the Spring of 1966, when he was invited for a screening on the series' second pilot, "Where No Man Has Gone Before" along with other potential writers. (These Are the Voyages: TOS Season One, p. 147)

    He also wrote non-Trek work under the name "Mike Dolinsky".
