Michael Lehmann Boddicker (born January 19, 1953), is an American film composer and session musician, specializing in electronic music. Three times N.A.R.A.S. Most Valuable Player “Synthesizer” and MVP Emeritus, he was awarded a Grammy as a songwriter for Imagination from Flashdance in 1984.
Jan 4, 2012 · Boddicker’s three-year college career left an impression on the University of Iowa’s record books. His six shutouts are a record. As a freshman in 1976, in addition to leading the hitters with nine doubles, he posted what is still their single-season record with a 0.79 earned-run average.
His modular is one of the most historically significant electronic instruments of 1970-1980, and we are honored to share this instrument at NAMM. Michael Boddicker is a living embodiment of the power of Bob Moog’s innovation, and his work is an enduring pillar of Bob Moog’s legacy.
