Michael Gleason. Born in Syracuse, New York, in 1948, he attended Auburn Community College in 1966, then transferred to the University of Hawaii, where he developed a keen interest in photography. Further studies at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara and the San Francisco Art Institute, led to a desire to work in the film industry.
Michael Gleason was a writer and producer who worked on dozens of series and co-created the detective drama Remington Steele, which made a star of Pierce Brosnan. Gleason began his TV career in the early 1960s with writing credits on such shows as Rawhide , Laramie , The Big Valley and others.
