- He Started Young. Louis XII came into this world in June 1462 as Louis d’Orléans. His home was in the lovely Château de Blois in Touraine—now called Loir-et-Cher.

On 24 December 1514, Louis was reportedly suffering from a severe case of gout. In the early hours of 1 January 1515, he received the final sacraments and died later that evening.

Il est destiné à l'état ecclésiastique et, à l'âge de 22 ans alors qu'il n'est encore que sous-diacre, il est élu archevêque de Bourges en 1505, succédant ainsi à Guillaume de Cambrai .
