Szal grew up in Delaware. She attended Johns Hopkins University and got a degree in International relationswith a minor in Economics and a concentration in communist studies.
Mick started her modeling career in New York City in 2011. She has been represented by agencies like Wilhelmina Models and Women Management, and has worked on campaigns around the world for brands like William Rast, Galeries Lafayette, Armani and DVF.
Mick started focusing on stand-up comedy since 2018 through the New York Drama Alumni Clan, an organization linked to Carnegie Mellon School of Drama. Her main genre of comedy is observational comedy.
Szal´s first formal acting role was in an episode of the seventeenth season of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit entitled "Fashionable crimes".
