  4. Apr 1, 2003 · Mike Nelson is an hilarious individual, and his comedic genius served him well in this novel. Although Death Rat isn't laugh out loud funny like the first Hitchhiker' book, but the basic elements of the novel, plot, description, theme, are all well served by Nelson's comedic mind.
