Mar 1, 2023 · Mission: SPACE is an intense thrill ride that uses centrifugal forces to simulate space flight. The attraction uses four separate centrifuges with 10 capsules that hold four riders. The ride exposes them to forces up to 2.5G. If that sounds a bit intimidating to you, you are certainly not alone.
You’ll find out on Mission: SPACE! Before you board, you’ll train for your mission on the X-2 Deep Space Shuttle at the International Space Training Center (ISTC). Each member of your 4-cadet crew will assume an important role: navigator, pilot, commander or engineer.

Mar 10, 2024 · Mission: SPACE at EPCOT first opened in 2003 and strives to recreate astronaut training as if you are on the first crewed mission to Mars. You board the fiction X-2 Deep Space Shuttle in the year 2036, and as a trainee, you’ll be arranged into a group of four to take on this challenge.
7:00 AM to 11:00 PM Eastern Time. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call. Mission: SPACE is a space shuttle simulator attraction where recruits rocket into outer space at Future World in Epcot, at Walt Disney World Resort near Orlando, Florida.
