Morgan-Monroe State Forest encompasses more than 24,000 acres in south central Indiana, with camping, three lakes for fishing (two allow electric-trolling motor boats), picnicking and multiple hiking trails. Gold panning and hunting are allowed with permits. Permits can be obtained at the Forest Office.
