    Nathaniel "Nat" Mauldin (born March 1, 1956) produced 22 episodes of Night Court, beginning with the Season 2 episode Hello, Goodbye, with his final episodes produced by him being "Hurricane: Part 1" and "Hurricane: Part 2" in Season 3. Nat, who also served as an executive story editor for 22 more episodes, and also wrote nine episodes, has also written the screeplays for the films The Preacher's Wife (1996), Doctor Dolittle (1998), The In-Laws (2003), Open Season (2006) as well as the script for The Perfect Holiday (2007) and the teleplay for A Christmas Story 2 in 2012.

    Nat also was the executive producer for the Made-for-TV movie Howie and Rose in 1991, and thirteen episodes of the Capitol Critters TV series from 1992-95.
