NHMLAC is a consortium of three museums that protect and share more than 35 million specimens and artifacts of natural and cultural history in the western United States. The museums are the Natural History Museum in Exposition Park, La Brea Tar Pits and Museum in Hancock Park/Mid-Wilshire, and the William S. Hart Museum in Newhall.

L.A. County residents receive free Museum Admission 3-5 pm Monday through Friday. Additional tickets must be purchased to see special exhibitions, Butterfly and Spider Pavilion, 3D Theater, and other special ticketed experiences.
