Apr 12, 2024 · My overall experience while attending New World School of the Arts has been nothing but educational and insightful. Being in a small school with people that come from all walks of life is a very special experience. The past schools I have attended were full of people who were of the same type of demographic group.
They studied other arts schools in the country, visiting LaGuardia High School, Juilliard and the North Carolina School of the Arts. A bill creating the "South Florida School of the Arts" passed the Florida House of Representatives on May 30, 1984. [6]
The total minority enrollment is 82%, and 33% of students are economically disadvantaged. New World School of the Arts is 1 of 138 high schools in the Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
Apr 12, 2024 · I find that New World School of the Arts has an advanced level of college readiness, at least in the visual arts, and the faculty in the arts maintain a good level of commitment to the students, more so the older ones.

Oolite Arts has honored New World School of the Arts visual arts alumni with The Ellies this year, recognizing five with the 2022 Creator Awards, which support individual artists with grants of $2,500 to $25,000 to realize a significant visual arts project that will advance their careers.
I can confidently say that the school prepares us for art & design careers and opens so many doors for it; even beyond those careers. The educational experience at the moment is rough as we are going through a transitional period, many teachers have left and with that, there are new ones to fill in their place.
