Nicolaus Reimers. Nicolaus Reimers Ursus (auch Nikolaus bzw. Reimers, Reymers, Raimarus, Raymarus; * 2. Februar 1551 in Hennstedt (Dithmarschen); † 15. August 1600 in Prag) war Astronom und kaiserlicher Hofmathematiker. Er war der Erste, der das Hauptwerk von Nikolaus Kopernikus De revolutionibus orbium coelestium ins Deutsche übersetzte.

Ludwig Nicolaus Reimer was born October 26, 1859, in Lemkendorf, Island of Fehmarn, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, the son of Hans and Sophia (Kulsen) Reimer. He received his education in the German schools. He married Margaretha Christiane Friederike Kropp on January 24, 1883, in Landkirchen, Island of Fehmarn, Germany.
