The couple try to get through the situation by referring to real-life pamphlets distributed by the government on how to survive an attack, but it never goes well as the couple slowly gets trapped in the radiation poisoning.
- Hadashi No Gen (1983) This outstanding Japanese animated movie features a family in 1945 Hiroshima. The tension and panic of the buildup to the bombing on August 6, 1945, is spine-chilling and incredibly well done.
