Mar 26, 2024 · Boxing was one of the sports contested at the Ancient Olympic Games in Greece. It first appeared on the modern Olympic program in 1904 at the third edition of the Games. It has been contested at every Olympics since then with the exception of 1912. (The 1912 Games were held in Stockholm, and a Swedish law at the time banned the sport.)
