Om Prakash Puri, OBE (18 October 1950 – 6 January 2017) was an Indian actor who appeared in mainstream commercial Hindi films as well as Malayalam, Bengali, Kannada, English, Punjabi, Gujarati, Telugu, and Marathi films, as well as independent and art films and also starred in several international cinema.
Om Puri was a versatile and acclaimed actor who worked in Indian, British and American films. He won the National Film Award for Best Actor for Ardh Satya and appeared in Gandhi, Wolf, The Ghost and the Darkness and Charlie Wilson's War.
