Peter Banks was Yes’s original guitarist from 1968 to 1970. His jazz and rock influenced guitar work featured on the first two Yes albums, Yes (1969) and Time and a Word (1970). Banks’s style was foundational in developing Yes’s early sound, blending rock with symphonic elements. Rick Wakeman
