Osgood Robert "Oz" Perkins II (born February 2, 1974) is an American actor, screenwriter, and director. Early life [ edit ] Perkins was born in Manhattan, New York , the elder son of actor Anthony Perkins (April 4, 1932 – September 12, 1992) and photographer and actress Berry Berenson (April 14, 1948 – September 11, 2001).

Perkins made his Broadway debut in 1924 in the George S. Kaufman – Marc Connelly play Beggar on Horseback. In the next 12 years, he appeared in 24 Broadway productions, including The Front Page and Uncle Vanya . Despite his success as a leading man in the theatre, Hollywood viewed him as a character actor.
Oz Perkins is an American filmmaker who has written and directed horror movies such as The Blackcoat's Daughter and I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House. He is also known for his acting roles in Legally Blonde and Star Trek.
